I put in 7 gallons of 87, and 7 gallons of water. I get the best gas mileage and it's way better for the environment.

doesn't higher octane give u better gase milage? in my cavi, i used to use 93, but i found the 87 was actually better gas milage cuz it wasn't made for the better gase. But in my old beretta, with 93 i got more milage out that then i did with 87?? isn't that the case for the SS S/C??

LOL, you guys are honestly pathetic. Your wasting money on more expensive gas when it clearly states in the manual that the car is "BUILT" to use regular 87. If that doesn't tell you anything, I don't think you guys will ever get the hint. My Uncle works for GM and he promises me that these cars were built to run on 87 for a reason, and putting a higher gas in WILL NOT change the way it runs.

Seriously guys, save yourself alot of money and put the gas that the car was meant to run on in, regular 87.

I run premium all the time, I have noted no difference in mileage between the two when I did use it, but a big difference in performance, so screw it. 93 on the street 100 or 106 at the track...

From what I understand, depending on the engine and what it's made for, 91 can give you slightly better milage, but it's nowhere near enough to make up for the extra cost. Milage alone isn't a good reason for going premium.

Screw saving a couple bucks run the better fuel! I use 93 or 94 octane...I prefer cheveron with the techron. Why put cheap ass gas in a modified performance car? I don't even use regular on long trips.

A loaded one would have cost about $31,500. I just dropped a month ago to $24,195. This car loaded with every option is now $30,445! So once you add tax, you are easily in the $30K region. Plus, there aren't many of these in Canada, so many people pay sticker for it! We get raped on the exchange rate, especially considering how weak the US dollar is compared to the Canadian dollar.

As far as fuel, I run premium. It is good advice to always run what is recomended for your car. I will never put regular in it. If I can't afford to buy fuel, I will either sell the car, or garage it until I can buy premium!

I knew it would be more because of the exchange, but if you have to pay sticker. . . ouch.

Fun has its price.

LOL, dude, it just proves your the moron. If we hadn't gone into iraq, the prices would not be where they are right now because of the oil refinery's. Shows how much you know, MORON.

I am really not trying to get into a Political battle over this. I just do not understand why people blame our president for EVERYTHING.

I think that the BIGGEST reason that prices are so high is because the world's dependency on oil has grown exponentially over the past 50 years. Is it going to subside? No. You also need to remember supply and demand and how this is connected to a non-renewable resource.
