what would i need to do to my car to beat a grand prix gxp

 

drive it. Stage 2 at the MOST. They aren't very fast at all. They're way too heavy.

 

What year GXP? I ran an older GTP version at the track and trapped 4mph faster and 3 tenths quicker and I was completely stock....

 

05 or 06 this is the 5.3l v8 ones

 

I still think that even w/ having the 5.3l in there, you could take it with minor bolt ons. It's 0-60 times are slightly slower than ours at around 5.7ish from what I've read. Ours were claimed to be closer to 5.2. It would be a close run, but if you can drive at all I think you can take one. Why ya askin anyway? There's almost always a story behind threads like these and yours doesn't have one lol

If you can drive at all, you should edge him out. But, seeing as how I have ******* friends and aquaintances that pull this *****....set a run speed. Like, 40-100 or something like that cuz when I get out of it and slow down, they claim to beat me because they seem to not slow down lol

I would say take this to a track, but I'm sure that's not very likely. If this buddy of urs is willin to go do the track thing tho, do that instead. If not, pick a back country road w/ no traffic on it somewhere not in the US lol

 

haha yea i know ive been thinking about ottps stage 2 kit??? any one think thats good at all? what should i get with it and how hard is it to install

 

For one, the OTT stage 2 kit is nearly everything you need. It will come with everything to bolt it in and your car will run. But....there are other add on's you'd wanna get like heat echanger, 3" exhaust, header and downpipe, wideband(for tuning purposes) etc. Don't get me wrong, the OTT kit is a direct bolt it on and go kit, but the other stuff listed will only help you make more power by lowering intake temps and things of that nature, but they aren't absolutely necessary unless you beat the shiz outta ur car all the time

I would rather have a bike too....but I value my life more than a bike lol I know I'd end up killin myself on one of those things which is why I stay away....far far away. Funny story involving bikes tho.....I was out shopping for one (GSXR600) and happened upon a hyabusa there in the lot. So, just fer ***** and giggles I sat on it just to see how huge this bike was in comparaison to me(145lbs at the time). Stand it up off the kick stand and STING....****** yellow jacket stung me right in the back of my neck. My other 2 buddies with me at the time told me "thats a sign dude, you don't need to be gettin a bike"
