What would you do

I added a 2.5 Catted downpipe from cobalt addiction to my GMPP touring exhaust and now it too loud for me so..... Would you put the stock DP back on and keep the GMPP exhaust OR keep the DP and put the stock exhaust back on?

After looking at the stock DP's flex joint that narrows to 2 inches .....it looks like it would be a bigger restriction than the stock 2.5'' muffler. Let me know what you think ...thanks.

Well the DP is the most restrictive part of the exhaust. Why not get like a axle-back exhaust.

Thanks for the reply. I could get an axle back but i wouldn't want the noise. My problem is i like the car to be on the quieter side .

Bleh. If ya want to keep the car quiet.

1. Do not buy a h/dp or exhaust.

2. Add another resonator to your exhaust or muffler.

Normally when you open up a restrictive exhaust it gets louder. That's what happens. Plenty of ways to quiet it down see #2

most people would go for neither... they would add a resonator, or a new muffler.
