Whats does spark blow out feel like?

Hey guys I recently took my 2.9 pulley off for just a week or so and I left my NGK BKR7E's in for the meantime (they are gapped at .38) Well anways today I took the car up to redline (I have stage 2) and it felt like fuel was cut for a second at about 6800 rpm's almost felt like a rev limiter for just a second and then it continued on to 7000 rpm. Is this what spark blow out feels like? Any ideas as to what it could be?

I get that too now, especially if it's cold and I get on it in partial throttle.

Hmm Ill check the plugs and see what they are looking like. They are only 2 weeks old.

My check engine light was on before this happened today (it was the lean code BTW) And then moments after I hit 6800 rpm and it felt wierd, the check engine light went off Crazy ass car.

sounds to me like it was an error between your maf sensor corrolation

do you have an intake? with an oiled filter by chance?

i would suggest gapping down to 0.035, and cleaning your MAF sensor.
if you have access to HP tuners, adjusting the fail freq can avoid this problem

drop the gap.

if that doesn't help. start shifting at 6700.

Yeah, mine was recently doing that as well. Took the advice of others, dropped gap to .036 and everything has worked fine so far (crosses fingers).

I have the airbox mod with the spectre filter from pep boys. I will go ahead and drop the gap down to .35 early next week. I wont hurt anything if I take it easy on the .38 gap untill monday will I? I dont have access to HP tuners but I could maybe talk to a friend who runs a high performance shop.

Thanks for all the help guys. I will re-gap my plugs and see how it goes.

Should I keep the .35 gap with the 2.9?

This has happened to me too, on a stock stage II tune with an airbox mod . It's very sporadic , it's happened maybe 3 times in the year and a half before i installed my intake, colder plugs and 2.99 . Since those it hasn't happened yet

Today was the first time it happend to me so it had me a bit worried that I may have messed something up. I will just take it easy untill I can re-gap my plugs.
