what's a g85?

 

the G85 package gives the Cobalt a limited slip diff. so you definatly need that.

 

and also recaro seats

It is actually called the "Performance Package" on the window sticker which includes a limited slip differential, and used to have Recaro Seats, which they don't put in anymore!

sux they dont include the recarro seats anymore i got the lsd but w/e still happy i got my ss/sc

 

i didnt get the lsd since it doesnt make a diffrents to me...didnt really make a diffrence on my srt(had 04 with lsd) and its not goin to make a diffrence on the cobalt not having

 

yea not sure if it makes a diff at all because i never drove one without it.. but the car already had the lsd in it and it was the last ss/sc they had at the dealer so i took it.. plus i like my car any way havent seen anyone else yet with the same color as me

 

^ lsd makes a huge difference. i dont have a clue why you would say it doesn't

yea lsd do make a difrence for a car thats pushing over 300hp,but anything under that u wont feel a big diffrence on FWD,just shitload of trq steer of the line and maybe floorin 2nd gear.but on RWD,lsd=Drift-Mobile

 

Stupid question guys. i opted out of the G85 because i didnt know exactly what it was for. i obviously made a mistake. How much would it be to get aftermarket? can i even do that? thanks guys

 

Alot of money. The LSD alone is 1500, plus labor. Don't bother.

It's only useful in the cornering anyway.

 

I had an 05 without lsd and have an 06 with it.I notice a difference. Put a little pep in my step

 

Yup I love that LSD when I'm autocrosing!!! Recaro seats are comfy too!

 

damn, that sucks that they dont have the Recaro seats anymore with the g85 package, about everyone who has gotten in my car has committed on how much they like the seats

 

This may sound really stupid, but I gotto ask, how can you tell if you get G85 or not? Is there a simple just by looking?

 

not from the outside, i dunno about th e 07's, but for 05/06 the seats are Recaro seats

 

stupid question but what exactly does the lsd do i know its something with distributing the power or something like that but im a little confused on it
