wheel

what is the widest wheel i can go with on this thing. i wanting to go with 18x9.5. possible?

why? Its just going to slow down the car, strain ball joints, sway arm links, ETC, even more than it already does, and the turn radius will be crappy. And you'd probably have to put big wheel spacers on it as well, so your wheels will stick out and look ghetto as hell.

Not to mention, these cars are bad for the electric power steering shitting out on them, which means a $600 repair. Big, huge wheels will certainly expedite that issue.

Put your money into something better - maybe just get slightly larger wheels, and beef up the front end a bit, then do some performance mods or whatever floats your boat. Your just asking for large repair bills down the road if you dont mod properly!!!

well considering im in iraq and have about 18 grand im about to drop in the car i have everything planned out and what mod is needed to support what mod. im not just some kid throwing some **** together. just a question, how big were the wheels on the time attack cobalt?

i believe they were 17" wheels x 8.5" wide, i'm not 100%, they were also running 235x45x17 IIRC.
