Wheel hop

Will torque damp be enough to eliminate wheel hop or should I go with traction bars?

If you want to eliminate wheel hop get a motor mount or tranny mounts. The tranny mounts alone would get rid of almost all the wheel hop.

TD wont get rid of it, but it will help alot.

it also depends on what mods you have....if your running slicks/drs....if you race on the track....

if you want to eliminate it all together, a TD wont do it completely.

Better/grippy tires help too & play a role

Torque damper is good for everyday/normal driving

SMM's would be better for normal/harder driving (you're gonna get vibrations in/throughout the car)

From what I hear, the traction bars make a lot of noise

yes the tranny mounts give you vibs. I have had control arm bushings as well but they fell apart, but while i was running that setup i never had wheel hop. Tranny mounts alone will not cure it at all when you start to push some power. I wheel hop from any roll in second 30,40,50

I tried the TD, didn't like it. I race autocross, 1/4m, 1/8m, 1on1 circle track drag, and it wasn't enough. I went all out with a Bwoody full set of mounts and traction bars. You better believe I don't have any wheelhop .
Yes, you will get vibrations. But I think too many people jump on mods that they don't really need then want to cry about a little discomfort. If you really race, you need to eliminate wheelhop. If you just want to get a mod to say you have it, you need to rethink your priorities.
If you really want to see this car perform, eliminate your wheelhop with the mounts, stiffen up your suspension with swaybars/coilovers(not just lowering springs), and most importantly, learn how to drive the car for all it's worth before thinking it needs more hp than the car/driver can handle in the first place. I have personally proven that the car has plenty of power to be competative as is, as long as you can get the power to the ground.

Boy, it got lonely up on that soapbox.

they vibrate a little bit. i don't think it's that bad though. it's a trade off though, and it's one that's totally worth it. the people that complain about the vibes are just being silly. it's like complaining after you put your exhaust on that it's louder than stock no **** it is!

why can't you get a td or smm

i do what i can.

i have the ttr mount, well. it does not cure wheel hop.

depending on the pavement type, i could either, hook, mild hop. or flat out spin in second.
