Reconectly a few people have been telling me I should get a wideband. I don't tune my car or anything so I don't see how it could help. I geusse it would be nice to see once but is there a better reason to get one. What stage in you mods should you get a wideband before??

it helps b/c if for some reason you start to lean out b/c of weather/tuning/mod issues you will know before it goes boom....

I agree. lol

Honestly you should get it before you start adding horsepower. Even if you are using canned tunes, actually especially if you are using canned tunes it's important to be able to detect problems early because when you start making bigger hp problems can creep up instantly. A wideband 02 gives you instant feedback on what's going on instantly so if something starts to go wrong you know to get out of the gas and pull over.

It's a must to safely add horsepower.

My wideband saved my motor. My O2 sensor went out and my Af was all messed up. I did a WOT run to see if it was still running good, right as I look over to the wideband I see it climbing from 13.4:1 and getting LEANER, so I instantly let off the gas. Had I not had the wideband you prolly would see a thread about how I blew my motor.

It's a full monitoring set...a/f ratio, egt & boost pressure. That's why it cost alot and it's compact.

Nice unit> but damn that thing is complicated. WTF do you need a CD for? Instalation instructions I hope. I dont know if I would be able to put that in.

-Serial data output to the Zeitronix Wideband LCD Display
-Serial data output for real time datalogging (PC laptop required)
-RPM Input ( tachometer or primary side ignition coil input).
-Simulated Narrowband Output to feed a stock ECU
-Throttle Position Input
-Boost Sensor Input
-EGT Probe Input

How many things do you have to hook up???

Could I possibly get any benefit from using one? As I just have a modest 2.4...

$280. And it gets setup like all the others it just does a few things extra. The 02 sensor gets put into the bung which is welded into the downpipe. The CD is for data logging if you wish to do that.

you cant get power from a wideband even if its on a cobra , but if you tune your 2.4 it makes it easier to tune bc you can see whats going on with your car through the a/f ratio

A wideband, scan gauge, and two gauge pillar pod will do the same thing and more

absolutely! If you plan to add horsepower a wideband is still a must have for you.

why would you need a wideband on your car if you dont/can't tune?

even if you can see that it is leaning out at a certain point if you can't do anything about it then why would it matter...letting off the gas isn't gonna stop it from happening again.

You could always baby the car until you're able to fix the issue...but with this said, you shouldn't really modify your car unless you do have a way of tuning but **** does happen.
