Also did you unplug the battery let it sit then plug it back in? perhaps the computer hasn't been reset yet? Did you go to jeff to get it done?

Well of course it doesn't, it raises the rev limiter. The red line on the tack remains at 6.5k, sorry just bugs me when people say "redline" instead of rev limiter. Ok I'll shut up now...

see if they used any other number other than the one supposed to be used for your car that might be an issue. Maybe I can go down there with you and we can get this resolved.
Notice that the tech guy that did mine wrote that the car had gone through the reprogram

I remember reading on here just a few days ago that GM was going to releas a new tune for the stage 2 kits ti fix the one they Fd up the first time and that it was to be out on the 4th of this month.
Did you just get your car done today? And if so it might have the new tune and GM migh have changed it to no longer go to 7K in order to limit warrenty claims.
Just a thought.
Or your car might not have taken the tune correctly and might need to be reflashed.

so here is what goes down. before they used a vci number to manually install the flash. They used an auth code to download the vci from the tachline and had to manually find the file on the server specific to your vin. Thye now used a new method called live which allows them to call in with the auth code and the 'keystroke wizards' as he put it simply locate the correct up to date file then assign it to your vin and then it is installed which takes MUCH less time than it used to. He said everything went smooth and of all the other installs he has done you may possibly have been the only 06 he has done. He mentioned it is possible that there has been an update which has changed the calibration to allow the car to stay within the original rev limit which in turn would allow the car to pump out more power equal to the 7000 rpm limit but before the 6500 redline so if this is actually true your car will be faster ... sooner. I gave him my vin, phone and name and he is going to talk with some people to find out why an 06 has 6500 but an 05 has a 7000.
He also mentioned that with this new method of pcm calibration if you go anywhere and there is an issue with the car you can have it reflashed at a dealer no prob since the flash is held now within the central 'Live' server as opposed to having it downloaded again using the old VCI method.
In reality if there is an update to the kit you could potentially be running faster ... sooner than others with the older VCI method thus the other reason why he is calling to see if this is the case so I can have mine reflashed as well to get it updated with the new version of software. I will know more likely by noon tomorrow or later.
