Who elses car feels like a SLUG during the summer heat? like really REALLY slow
Maybe its cuz I'm running a 2.9 with just ST2, CAI, and front mount H/E, but DAMN, my car feels ungodly slow nowadays. I took my mustang out for a cruise for the first time in a long time yesterday, and holy hell did it feel light years faster than my cobalt, and it usually doesn't feel that drastically faster, i means it runs 12.70@110, but usually the cobalt feels like it could at least stay in sight if they were to race. not now though.
My guess is the heat effects the supercharged cars a lot more as far as power goes?
Perhaps running the 2.9 in the heat is causing the car to go into knock? I'm seriously thinking of going backto stock pulley until I get an exhaust on the car.

I feel the same way. I'm running a 2.85 and during the heat of the day it feels like a stock car again almost.
I'll go out and drive it at night when its sat and cooled and its not so hot here... the car feels like a beast compared to driving during the day.
I'm thinking of swapping out to the stage 3 pulley anyway... its just so heavy compared to nates. Guess its time to spend a little more money.

yeah, even though i only have full exhaust and airbox mod, i can feel a difference in warmer weather. there's noticeable power differences. my buddy had an 02 mustang gt that i raced all the time. when the temp is below 70*F, i walked on him. when the temp is above 70*F, he would walk on me. it was hilarious that our cars were almost dead even, but the person who inched ahead would depend solely on ambient temps. forced induction is an amazing displacement replacement on small 4 cylinder cars, but the gains are reduced at higher temps.

Heat does affect the performance of the cobalts. Sometimes in a good way, others in a bad. Cooling mods will help. I notice in my NA all the time. I run 16.1 in Utah, in 70 with 30% humidity, in 90 with 0% humidity I run 16.5, heat helps when its not a dry dry heat or so I noticed in my NA, and it does the same for some Utah SC's out here as well.

check your intercooler punmp that happened to me ans robbed power big time then found out that my pump stoped working it would't hurt to check and with those mods there wouldn't be many mustangs that are faster

heat has a huge affect on our cars.. especially modded cars... last year i ran my car in the 1/8th mile and ran a 9.1 at 81 with just stage 2 and intake exhaust with no cooling mods
the other day i ran my car with the same 60 foot and ran a 9.6 at 74 with 2.8 pulley intake header downpipe exhaust dual pass heat exchanger and meth injection.... sitting at the line my iats were 150.... so basically heat affects it like alot especially if your tuned with timing in cooler weather.... once ur car cuts timing its slow as hell

dont beat on it while it hot like that it can get dangerous. your knocking like crazy with stage three it has very aggresive timing map...
do you have something to monitor iat-2 like a aeroforce scan gauge? if not it's a wise investment for people that are running your mods and your pulley in 100+ temps
when i had those mods and summer rolls around i put the crappy stage two pulley on and treat my car like it NA trying to completly stay out of boost unless its night time or a cooler than 90* day otherwise your car just hates you and its not fast anyways just drive normal till night time when its cooler... your pulling tons of timing making the car feel slow again...
meth will help but only to some extent... get the gauge youll see what im talking about... and with those temps and pulley you need the cxracing H/E... i would get that soon it will allow you to drive a little more aggressivly in those temps without knocking
