It's the SAME oil. Do you think Walmart has a refinery?

Let me spell it out for you slow guys. Walmart contracts Mobil 1 who makes the oil then puts it in Supertech bottles.

walmart wouldnt need a refinery, synthetic oil is created in a lab.

even if it is mobil 1, its the stuff that doesnt quite make the grade to be mobil 1, basicly, the reject oil.

Just becuase it says ExxonMobil on the msds you automatically think it's Mobil 1? It could be Exxon brand oil for all you know.

Wal-Mart does that sort of thing with almost all of the "Wal-Mart" brand stuff. Its all just repackaged stuff. They don't manufacture anything on their own really.

I agree. I hate Wal mart, but its hard not to shop there. Yeah everything is made by someone. This is not 1 private label company in the US. I know this from being in the grocery business. These brand name people are making the store brand.

in this case, i bet wal mart is telling Mobil 1 that if they dont make it for them, they will kick them out of there store

Just because Mobil makes it does not mean it is Mobil 1. It depends on the additives and grade. Go to the API website and edumakate yourself. Is the API seal the same as the Mobil !?

API-licensed marketers may display two types of Marks: the API Service Symbol “Donut” and the API Certification Mark “Starburst.”

Well there is a way to check it and I think I will....

I'm going to buy a quart of each and have my wife run some tests on them and I'll find out!
