Who will get only a CAI dynoed ?

Is there someone in this entire community who can go this very week on a good dyno and do a couple of "before and after runs", so we could get an independant test about one of the 2 cai available at this moment for the SS ???? Before (4th gear), before (4th gear), after (4th gear), after (4th gear) LOL. Same day, same dyno for the 2 runs ... Fujita or K&N. The Cobalt SS must run the stock supercharger pulley and no drop-in filter for the baseline pulls.

doubt anyone will do two different intake dynos, the companies won't send a product for independant testing either because they know the numbers are overly inflated, and they would not contribute to something proving that.

the only company with a cai i have seen post realistic numbers is maximumboost and that i respect

I'd do it, if I could get a couple of dyno pulls at a reasonable price here in Northern Ohio. I'm gettin my Fujita Intake tomorrow. Anyone know of a place I could get it done in the Cleveland area.

Dyno testing CAI's

The SPC has an upcoming dyno day on Saturday November 12th and members of the IRL/SS forums will be there. There seems to be a lot of buzz lately about the various power claims made by Fujita, K&N, etc. To help provide an unbiased test arena for the GM aftermarket, the SPC has long had a policy of offering free dyno testing of parts. If any of you are in the Chicago area and are looking to make this comparison, the SPC will pay for your dyno passes. If two of you plan to attend, and one has the Fujita, the other a K&N, etc. then we'll do a double blind test on both cars. i.e. run them as they are, swap intakes and run them both again. For Free. You will need to bring the car, the intake and whatever tools you need to swap them in an expedient manner, but we will provide the dyno for free. Please email or PM me if interested..

No, we don't have the intakes. My goal would be for 2 IRL/SS owners, one having the Fujita, the other having the K&N, etc. would both attend, then swap between the two cars. Each owner would have their runs done for free with both intakes. That way the body of data is even greater.

Yea. Here's the news. I got into a car accident with my SS. A lady pulled out infront of me. So needless to say I wont have my SS for another two weeks. So far 5,000.00 of an estimate. It's gonna be a while before I test out that intake. I'm not thrilled.
