Wideband Senson placement....

Im trying to figure a good place to weld in the 02 bung for my AEM wideband controller... Where have other balts placed them? It says before the cat and i dont think that is possible on our cars... I am running stock downpipe.

Thanks Nick

i belive that is best that it is placed no more than 12 inchs from block but defantly before the cat...also to keep in mind to have the sensor point up(12 o clock position) to keep the sensor free from unburned gas and keep it accurate

optimal is actualy 18" from the head, this helps keep the sensor cooler so it doesnt overheat. it can be closer or farther away, doesnt really make a huge difference. you must have it before the cat, you will get false readings after the cat. the sensor can also be between the 9 and 3 position, straight up is best but almost never works. anywere between 9 and 3 will keep unburn fuel or moisture from collecting in the sensor.
