is this working right

just put in a mechnical boost gauge in the ol beast,,fan the vac line so nothing is in its way or cutting off air...my thing is if i give her some boost say 7psi and try and hold it there the gauge will drop the only time i can get the reading to stay is at wot is this normal

The car wont hold a steady boost if your holding the throttle unless you are WOT. Hence wile you on the highway the car stays in vacuum. The boost will be bled off through the bypass so that your cars not constantly making boost. So yeah I'm assume what your experiencing is normal as long as you have everything hooked up correctly.

ya got the line teed into my line off the mani....and i didnt use cheap line for my 1/8 i used synflex airline that u c on biggg tractor trailers

That's where mine is tapped into so you should be good. I think your alright and you getting normal readings. I just a black rubber hose through my engine bay and used a brass fitting to a clear hose that runs into my gauge thru my interior. Your good to go tho I wouldn't worry.
