Would GM do this for me?
I havea messed up exhaust. It makes a sort of rattle sould when I rev the car. Under it sounds a little like rice is inside my pipe. I dunno. But it's under warranty, so if I want then to put GMPP exhaust could they install it and I just pay the difference of the stock exhaust?
Another question.....
Which GMPP exhaust is better the touring or the sport, also which sounds better?
THANKS

there is a thread with the sounds of the exhaust (sport vs touring and more) check that for your sounds although i think most people like the sport sound (kinda louder then touring) but its all opinion. You GM question...im not so sure...good question bbut there is only one true way in knowing...doing it. Good Luck!

But my exhaust is under warranty...so can they just cover the cost of the regular exhaust then I pay the rest for the sport package and have it installed under warranty?
Also what is the part number for the GMPP sport exhaust?

they wont do it. The warrenty part only applies to original equipment since you don't have the gmpp exhaust already installed. They will only replace it within an original part. If you buy the new one just install it yourself.

Because dealerships dont have the authority to install non OEM equipment. Your service manager would have to contact GM and make a case. Each dealership has a District Manager that over looks all warranty claims, and you cant replace one part with a different part number. If it came down to it, and it was audited, the dealership would get in trouble.
I guess its possible, how ever there is a good chance they arent going to want to go through all that trouble.
My suggestion is, take it in, have them replace the cat-back if thats whats needed to fix your complaint, and then sell it for the GMPP.
