WTF? Car Died?

So yesterday im driving, and I pull onto a major street and there is no traffic. I decide im going to rip on her only in 1st gear just to her the bitch whine. So I nail it in 1st, spin tires a little and all of the sudden when I hit 6k rpms BAM!!! The car turns off and all the electrical **** is off with it. I quickly pull over and try to start her. Nothing... So i get out and pop the hood, nothing. Check under the car, nothing. When i get back to the car I try to start it again and it works. Just now the gauges dont work. So I turn it off. I wait about 10 mins because i thought i read somewhere on here that this happenes every once in awhile to some people. 10 mins later and everything is great, she is running good, and has driven fine since it happened (about 50 miles)

WTF?

It didn't. Mine has done that 3 times. First time it restarted while rolling, and was fine. Second time, I had to do what you did, played with it for a few minutes then everything was fine. Last time, it wouldn't start for hours. I got it towed home. Next morning, it fired right up.

I changed the Crank position sensor, hasn't happened since then.

sounds like a crank sensor. I had mine replaced at 4000 miles covered under warranty. It should have thrown a code, not sure what it was though.....

Crankshaft Position Sensor, Crankshaft Position Sensor, Crankshaft Position Sensor.

One more time. Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Yes, it should have thrown a code. My car did when it happened to me with only a couple of thousand miles on her.

But even if it didn't, bring it in to the dealer anyways because ...

#1 The computer may have stored the incident
#2 You don't want that happening to you again

Good Luck!
