WTF is wrong?

I got onto the dyno last night, and was very disappointed with the results.

I only managed 233 WHP.

Here are my mods:

RAW Intake
ZZP 2.8" Pully
ZZP Heat Exchanger
ZZP Header and Downpipe
ZZP triple gauge pillar
OTTP Stage 1 Rotated Mounts
OTTP Stage 1 Axels
GMPP Performance Exhaust
GMPP Clutch
Siemens 60# injectors
Dual Pass
Option B
Ingalls TD
AEM Wideband
AeroForce Interceptor
HP Tuned

My tuner says meth will help a lot, but what else. I was really hoping for 250 before meth. Can you guys see anything wrong here?

Well either your tuner is failing or the dyno is a heartbreaker

cleaned up your mod list for ya.

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you may have plumbed the cooling system wrong, and its not cooling the air charge. do you know what your IAT's where during the pulls. i really think you should hit well above 233, atleast 245, with those mods even with a bad tune. especially in that weather.

i actually say its the tune not to be a terd or anything, i tune for a hobby and ive tuned a lot of ss with 2.8s and they are way above the 230 mark lol. its the tune, have him retune your ass. if you have meth youll be looking in the 270ish 280ish mark with a 2.6-2.8 with supporting mods

I was in around 140* through the whole pass, dyno is a DYNO mite Dynamometer.

he was retuning me after ever run. we started at 229 with a canned tune, then hit 233 on the 3rd run, then I started knocking a little, so we had to back it off.

You gained 4hp going from a canned tune to a custom tune? You're tuner has no idea what hes doing

As long as your tune is accurate... dyno's give you bragging rights, sure, but there is so much fluctuation between different brands you can't consider them REAL accurate. As long as the specific dyno is consistant and you can see gains/losses during tuning, that's whats important. Technically speaking, it seems slightly low... but I believe that dyno tends to read lower than some. I've seen stock SS/SCs dyno 220/225 to the wheels... but they could have been on a high reading dyno. There are just too many factors that come into play when comparing them, it's not something I'd be that worried about.. as long as your tuner is competent.

Def the tune. I tuned a 2.8 LSJ with a LOT less mods that put down 263! Dynomite's are similar in power output to a dynojet, maybe just slightly less. Should have made over 250 easy!!

also our elevation is about 3400ft, so that would have somthing to do with it?

do you guys think a bigger exhaust would help? I was thinking a catted 3" downpipe to a 2.5" magnaflow exhaust

oh and here is the tune and log

Yes it will give you more hp but what everyone is saying is you should be making more hp with the mods you have right now. I say check you're tune again

elevation will definitely be a factor. here in the south i get around 12 to 13 psi of boost. now i know stock boost gauge isnt accurate but when i was in colorado at around 8,000 feet, the most boost i was getting was about 8 psi. i know 3400 feet is much less but i swear my balt up there was slower than a damn smart car at sea level

The tune doesn't look bad. What does your Wideband read thru the pull? If it matches the PE table (11.5:1) then I really dont get why your numbers are so low. The IAT's look fine even.

Calgary is around 1100m (3500ft) above sea level. Comparing to a car at 300m (1000ft) above sea level, the dynos are definitely going to be different. That, plus every dyno being a little different, those might be good numbers for your car in that area on that dyno.
