I pounded it into the top. Just used a screwdriver with a head small enough that it would not punch through and mar the threads in the head/block.

Sounds like that'll be my first attempt here tonight. After that fitting, all I had to do was connect the oil feed line, and reconnect the charge piping. That was the last of my current problems. The end was so close in sight lol.

I just sent my Hahn CAI out to my buddy to weld on a fitting for my PCV.
Soon as I get that back its time for my turbo swap.

Nice man. What turbo are you swapping to?
I went with the lazy approach to mine. I just went with a breather. I didn't want to weld onto the coated intake pipe. Looked too pretty to mess up.

LNF PCV is MUCH more complex than the LSJ and I cannot do that.

Oh I completely understand that (from the basic concept, not the actual workings of it all).

And nice. Out of curiosity, why the 20g over any of the more common turbo upgrades for the LNF?

Price point. Cheap to rebuild/upgrade. Reuse stock manifold and current 3" DP. Good spool time. Also, I got it for free lol.

Originally I was going to a s257 and had acquired everything but the turbo. It got pricey fast and I have a 10 month old. Then some dude was in desperate need of cash and selling a 20g. I low balled and he took it. So I sold off all of the stuff from my s257 plan and moved on. Put the "profit" in my kid's account.

Lol that's the reason that I'm building the balt. A free DD happened to fall into my lap. Was a lot cheaper than the V8 or MR2 builds I was looking into.

At least you've got your priorities in the right place man.

That brass piece is going to suck getting out if you already have the manifold and turbo on, depending on which oil hole youre using.

Yessir it's gonna be a pain. I'm using the one on the far right (sitting in the drivers seat). I'm pulling the manifold and the turbo off this evening with a goal of getting the brass out tomorrow, and getting it all back together tomorrow night (depending on how smooth removal goes), or sometime next week that coordinates well with my work and personal travel here over the next week. Already got the downpipe off. I figured going in from the top would be the simplest way of getting to it.

I'm a bit grumpy about it, but it allows me to change a few things I didn't like about the settup. Trying to look at it on the bright side. Picked up an extractor bit set, and new stainless fittings here at lunch. Gonna hope for some good results here tonight. Playing around with the half that's not stuck, and the bit set I just got, the extractor bit grabs the brass real hard, so I'm hoping I can get it to come out easily.

So I was able to get the broken fitting out with the extractor bit. Was able to do it without removing the turbo or the manifold, so I'm pretty happy. Anyone know the thread pitch to the block fitting? The fitting I grabbed (the only one Jegs had in stock) didn't seem to thread in nice and easy, so just wanted to check to make sure it is the right one. Also I found out that the fuel rail is leaking again so that's a nice surprise. This project just can't to wrap up.

According to the ZZP install instructions it should be a 12mm fitting.

Just looked deeper in their website. It's a 12mm 1.75 fitting. So the 1.5 I have won't work. Hope I didn't dick the block up when I had it slightly in there. Just ordered the ZZP fitting here now. Should be in by Monday I hope.

The block galley fittings are coarse threads.

I use these for oil gauge installs
Amazon.com: Speedhut Metric Adapter, 1/8 inch NPT Female to M12X1.75 Male (Stainless Steel): Automotive Amazon.com: Speedhut Metric Adapter, 1/8 inch NPT Female to M12X1.75 Male (Stainless Steel): Automotive

I use these for oil feed lines (added to the above)
Vibrant Performance AN to NPT Adapter Fittings 10292 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

The ZZP fitting is brass and I hate that. I would rater use two stainless steel pieces than one brass fitting.

That'll be my next one if I ever get back into it. I went with ZZP's as it was a simple solution at the time, and I'm just trying to get the thing running at this point lol. I may order the 2 fittings above just to have them handy just in case.

Sadly, no one makes a stainless steel 12x1.75 to -4AN.

Heck, just finding that fitting with the 1.75 thread pitch was almost impossible. It seems ZZP is really one of the only companies that have it in a single fitting. At least going by my quick 30 second google search.

I am having my buddy weld the sickspeed 12x1.75 to 1/8npt to the 1/8PNPT to -4AN fitting. Once its welded he will bore it to make it all the same size as the hole in the -4AN.

He also made my coolant fitting for the head, is modifying my therm housing, and is making me a new elbow for the Hahn CAI to specifcally fit my PCV and new turbo.

Is this the same guy you'll have working on your intake manifold in the future as well?
I wish I knew around here with a decent shop. I'd like to be able to do a bit more than what my friends and I can do in our garages.

Yes. I need more cut off wheels to finish chopping off the brackets and EVAP I do not want though. I snagged an LSJ fuel rail cheap, but I think its too big. I am going to measure, but I have a good feeling a Saturn S-series fuel rail will fit instead. They use 14lbs injectors from the factory and the same size injectors as 3800 series motors for bigger options cheap.

I decided that I am going to have him thread the bungs for the rail with male threads so I can put female caps on them until I am ready to use it.

He isnt close actually, he lives in New Mexico. We ship a lot of stuff back and forth.

We are both pretty creative and think similar. He has built things for my family's donut shop from crude drawing I made from an idea. Damn good to me if you can build functional parts that fit the first time from, basically, etch-a-sketch drawing hahaha
