Thanks for posting the pics up for me.

FYI Install instructions are included when purchasing the intake and yes you will still hear the supercharger whine. It will actually be more prominant because there is less restriction with the intake.

I would guess that the install is easy considering it is in sections instead of one pipe to wrangle with. Too bad it is out of my price range or I would buy it. I'm still waiting for a $60 ebay Chinese CAI.

many of the intakes out there are pretty easy to install including the XTC CAI because they are a direct replacement of the stock parts with very little work needed which makes the CAI a nice and affordable modification with proven gains and no stress or added price for install by a professional shop.

Here are my thoughts, that intake in the thread looks ugly and unfinished. The K&N has a nice finish and the one piece looks great.

HOWEVER

I have found that my K&N intake is a bitch when your trying to mess with the PCM, you can't remove the middle section like you can on the stock intake and this intake.

Thats all

sometimes form has to follow function in order for things to perform their best. i know the products that kenny develops are nothing to scoff at, and definitely worth their price.

i'd take ugly and working correct over pretty and working iffy any day.

well put. i know first hand that this product does live up to its 10 hp gain and is a cheaper alternative for those looking for inexpensive HP gain.
we were looking for an alternative that was more cost effective and functional to allow cobalt owners to have more selection when it comes to their vehicles.

no sweat...lol when you are in this business you learn to take things in strides because everyone is entitled to their own opinions about products and pricing. we welcome constructive criticism that will help us improve upon our products :-)

At any rate back to the subject at hand and to answer your question, yes Cobalt-addiction/ audio-xtc does design a lot of our own products and we will continue to bring new things to the forefront to give everyone some different options for their cars. There is a decent amount of stuff out which is nice because i remember a time when finding an intake was difficult. now there are a handleful of different ones to choose from. When we began the site development we had roughly 40 items and we now offer over 120 and we continue to find new things every day.
;-)

I am not a hater, but people mod their autos for different reasons thats all. I even like the multiple piece design for easy access to the PCM harness.

The thread poster wanted peoples opinions or else he wouldn't have posted. I gave my thoughts.

Last I checked the Cobalt Addition sells then all
