ZZP 3" CAI intake installed

Well, was time for a new intake....the AEM needed to go....figured I would post a couple pictures. Install was pretty straight forward, and fitment was very nice.....air filter is a little large though.....a slightly smaller one would maybe be nice.

Same one I have. Was very hard to get it in there and not scratch it all up. Just wish they used a standard size filter you can buy a pre filter for. All and all well worth the $ though

I bought a pre-filter for mine. It fits well. I think its like one size too big or something, but actually you really can't tell it's not the right size. I bought it after I read a post on here about using prechargers with the HUGE K&N that the ZZP intake comes with. I'll post up the part number if I can find it.

EDIT: Part number is: E-4710DK

Yea, I may look into a smaller one.....it fits in, but is pressed up against the bumper cover. Otherwise it fits very nicely which is suprising for a 3" intake.....doesn't rub or anything. Thumbs up from me

GOT EM N LOVE EM! I used Universal 3 inches K&N at Advance Auto cause that K&N Air Filter come with it is too BIG! So, I had to buy Universal 3 inches K&N and it's pretty hard to get it on. I took the grease that is on K&N and wipe them off til it's dry then put them on. It ain't easy but it will fit.

I put my ZZP intake in a couple weeks ago. Wasn't THAT bad, but threading the tube in is like a corkscrew kinda. Just gotta be really careful so as to not scratch it. Like you said, my filter is just barely touching on the inside of the bumper cover. Could use a little bit smaller filter, but fit and finish under the hood looks awesome.

A tapered filter might solve the rubbing on bumper cover issue.

Sorry to bump the thread but I have a question related to this and didn't want to make a new thread. What are the dimensions for the K&N filter that comes with the ZZP intake? I want to buy a hydroshield for it.

Injen Hydroshield will not fit in ZZP CAI K&N air filter they provide for. I got Universal 3 inches K&N Air Filter, you can find them at Autozone or Advance Auto. Injen Hydroshield fit into that Universal 3 inches K&N Air Filter. I won't put in ZZP K&N Air Filter in cause it's TOO BIG!
