zzp header combo or separate

which one is the better bang? getting the head/dp combo from zzp or getting the downpipe then a header later on? i dont like seeing a cel everyday either and i dont want my car to be super loud i will jsut be connectiing it to my stock catback for now (yes i will eventually get a catback)

and 2.5" dp or 3"
im running wiht 60s, 2.6 pulley, ported blower, intake, of course hp tuned and soon to be heat exchanger i know its not really a hp upgrade

get the combo, 1.75'' primarys ceramic coated, 2.5'' DP and then run a gmpp catback when you get a chance. also i nice thing to know is that if you get the 1.75'' header buy the GMPP header gasket so you dont have to trim the stock one. the GMPP one fits perfect.

IMO, anything other than ceramic coated (unless its stainless) is a waste of money, high temp paint will crack, rust, and just plain look like crap.

Will the zzp header combo go good with the GMPP performance exhaust?

you should get the 1.5'' with the 2.4 motor

3'' is a waste unless you plan on running 320+ hp, and by that time you better look at building the motor

Umm i might be wrong but from the looks of his mods he needs a 3" dp.

And i hope to god he has meth with those mods or he is gonna pop #4 real fast.

i honestly can not say because i do not own a 2.4 but you will see very nice gains, should be night and day diffrence. AS for the sound on the LSJ i love it. its not overly loud like vibrant, and the gmpp catback just sets it up awesome.. i love it best buy so far.

I love them so far and it pulls alot better in the mid to low range and a lil bit better in the high range it really helps that I got the tune. Will I need to get retuned after the header Dp goes on??

With tuning, I have heard they are very good, cause you can run more timing and its kinda like running race gas through ur car but alot cheaper.

no you wont.
no you will not "need" one but for you i guess to get the full advantage of having a header and dp it would not be a bad idea.... but honestly a retune after a header and dp= a waste of money.

i havent looked into meth injection quite yet but i am very very interested in it. i dont think the 3"in quite necessary.. i will get the 1.75 header ceramic coated for sure with a maybe 2.5 towards a 2.5 catback, i just think the 3.0 wont give you that much more hp gain, barely noticeable.. and your gonna hear that thing for miles around i really dont want that i like to sneak around with more of a sleeper feel

and i will have the cat on the dp part

you could run meth but i would not without a tune. but honestly your IAT's are not as high as guys running forced induction. all you could really do with it is advance timing and lower iats a little, but for you i would look at doing a blower swap before that.

Its not loud at all and if you are running that small of a pulley with no meth, your car isnt going to last that much longer anyways.

i do not agree "with you will barely notice the 2.5'' dp. One it has a high flow cat and you can run catless, that alone will be noticeable performance. and our cats have a nasty bend, that brings it below 2''.

2.5 you will notice more tq than the 3'' and better response.
