ZZP Mid length header or Hahn shorty header?
***EDIT: BOTH OF THESE ARE NOW FOR SALE!*** ZZP mid length **SOLD** $325 shipped OBO for the Hahn Shorty ($525+shipping new). Both headers were used for less than 6 months before the owners traded their SS/SC's in. The Hahn Shorty is stainless. I have purchased 2 used headers from members on our local club site. I am going to keep one and re-sell the other. I am currently running the stock header and DP with a Hahn 3" catback. Well.. personally i like the hahn shorty header better..
but the mid length will gain you more through out the entire rpm range.. the shorty header, more up top. |
Wow that shorty header from hahn is sexy. Ide say the midlegth though for gains.

i never had a problem with my flex pipe even before i had my mount but they did changed how they put the flex pipe on do you know how old the one you have is

Go with the one with the larger primaries to remove the exhaust as quickly as possible from the head, it will yield you the best gains...
The midlength will get you more power throughout the powerband though! I have had a ZZP d/p on my car for a year and a half with NO issues with it at all!

^^ tey are both for a 2.2 or 2.4...lol The LSJ ZZP has 1.75" primaries. I would go with ZZP cause it clears up your downpipe bottleneck as well

Well.. hahns primaries are bigger than zzps (the tubes itself)...
Why dont you try them out first?... then decide.. ZZP ... only because id like mid length |
i just look at hahns website it is made for the ss/sc but the holes just look to small

I'm leaning towards the mid length. I like that it moves the cat under the car. Can I bolt the header and DP together before installing it, or will it be too difficult?

i would go for the midlength, just cuz if you get the shorty, the stock dp will still be a bit of a bottlenecj in the exhaust system, whereas everything will be nicely opened up by the midlength combo and you will gain more power throughout the entire rpm range

Do you think the 1.5" primaries and 2.5" DP would help with low end torque since I have a 3" catback? Would the extra back pressure provided over 1.75" primaries and 3" DP be beneficial for my setup?

i think you should sell both and buy the zzp mid length with 1.75 primaries and a 3in. downpipe
