Zzp phenolic spacer

If I use this zzp phenolic spacer do I still need to use an intake manifold gasket or does this serve as a gasket to? Just wondering if I should order both?

I just installed mine a few weeks back and absolutely love it. One of the best mods out there for the price.

Might as well get the dual pass endplate too. Since you have to take the intake manfiold off for both mods. OH! BUY Washers that fit the bolts, Ill see if I can get a part number but the kit from ZZP coems with bolts but no washers, and you really should have washers under those bolt heads, the ones on the stock bolts dont come off, or at elast I couldnt removed them.

Yes buy washers! I got mine at the local hardware store when I was supercharged and running that spacer.

Ya its not a problem at all Matt. I just pulled the intake off, did the dual pass, removed the studs and put everything back together lol. I left the lower bolt out on mine because it was just to much of a hassle to get it back together and I've had no problems for 2 months. Keep me updated on the next Mod Day and if you want to have some work done or just want help with it!

Washers make it so that the bolt heads don't sink into the phenolic spacer material when tightened. they ensure that enough of the bolt head is there to get a socket on, and it spreads out the force the bolt is exerting on the spacer evenly

I can understand the whole spreading out the torque on the bolt against the manifold but the bolts do not touch the spacer and as long as you bring all the bolts in at the same time you won't have to worry about the force of the torque being against one side of the spacer vs. the other side.

Im not concerned about the torque, your right the bolts dont touch the spacer. But I was uncomfortabe with the ammount of bearing area between the bolt had and the manifold without the washers. Maybe this weekend Illl go to lowse and find the part numnber/size of washers that I used. I just happend to have some with me that fit perfectly. The short bolts were okay without the washers, but those two longer once, im glad I have them on there. Even thought/considered lockwashers ..

I put washers on all my bolts.
I used
ID: 1/4"
OD: 3/4"
Thickness 1/8"

size washers.
Lowes Item 63306, however when I searched their site it comes up with nothing

I know the bolts are metric, but that washer seemed to fit almost perfectly

I wish ZZP would have included washers in their kit

I think you mean intake manifold. If the bolt head sinks into the phenolic spacer, I thnk you may have forggen to install a few parts

the phenolic spacer from zzp is a good deal go buy washers they are needed; the blower and Im moves out so you should move the upper rad hose out from themotor you can get about 3/16 of an inch or so, to avoid abrading it on the blower snout, and you need to check and rotate the pump to make sure the pump out to h/e hose is not kinked, which it will do if you move it out with the spacer and do not do so.
I route the option B hoses on a Cobalt through the rad tie bar, that keeps it away from the pulley for sure. I fyou have a Redline or route the hoses in front of the blower then there is a risk the pulley will cut the hose. check it out

zzp part is very good, please make sure your install is good also.
