ZZP vs GM Dual Pass Plate

What is the difference between the ZZP Dual Pass Intercooler Plate and the GM Racing Dual Pass Intercooler Plate besides price?

One is officially made by GM, one is not. Same goes for the OTTP one. They're all functionally the same.

So what your saying is it would be stupid to buy the GM one being that it is more expensive than the other ones and considering they all do the same job equally?

If you get the GM part and have a GM dealer install it, your warranty is unaffected.

Assuming you're not still under warranty, yes. Then again they probably won't even notice it even if you take it in for warranty service with someone else's plate on there.

Yes dont bother with the expensive dual pass end plate. Go with the OTT performance endplate for a little over 100$.

Is a dual end plate worth it if I'm going to get a h/e. Don't they do they same thing? Or am I wrong?

a dual pass end plate and a heat exchanger are both cooling mods.. so yes they both cool something...

For a 100 bucks i would deff go with a dual pass.

Yes they both do the same thing (lower the IAT2) but they do it different ways. h/e cools the water temps more due to the higher efficient h/e and the dual pass has two pass's of water through the intercooler instead of one.

No.

Stock endplate passes 4 times.

Dual pass, well.. passes twice.. which shortens the time the coolant is in the intake manifold.

Yes I am sorry worded it wrong. I meant one path through the whole intercooler not two.

My bad

One inlet and one outlet is stock (thats what I meant when I said path), dual pass is two inlet and basically two outlet (even thought there is only one hose connects out).

But you are correct, stock is 4 passes.

There is no option B...

option B is a secondary tank for holding coolant for the heat exchanger setup...

More cooling the better.

There are ways of making your own option B.. and i think it works better as well...
