Ported head, Intake, Header, Exhaust, Throttle Body (i think that would be more than $1200 though)

Best bang for the buck would be a turbo kit.

What he said but they are around $3,000 to $4,000 and another $1,000 to install. I'm trying to get my brother to get one for his base model so we can race and see whose car is faster but he doesn't care about speed. He wants looks more than speed. So guess what, he bought a stick on ss hood scoop off of ebay. When he told me that I just shook my head. He wants to paint it black and leave the rest of his hood yellow.

The turbo is a worthwhile investment, but most kits come at a rather low setting of boost, usually no higher than 5-6, and 7 in some cases. But like most people youll want more and turn up the boost, and youll break ****, which will cost more money, so i still stand by the cnc ported head with stock valvetrain, with upgraded intake and exhaust flow. i bet you see somewhere around 150-170whp.

If he is going for looks, nothing changes the look of a car more then a bigger set of rims and tires. You sould be able to get a nice set of 17" racing wheels with some good tires for $1200.

Get some cheap wheels and a drop, get rid of the 4x4 look and the horrendous body roll

I hate that about my base model lol, getting dropped first of spring

well for looks i would say this car benefits much from a nice tint job since our windows are kinda big it makes them look smaller, the car needs a drop bad so springs are a good idea, and rims are a great idea especially for a base model on the ss's the rims look good on the car

I would get a nice drop and some wheels...since there are no struts out there for these cars yet you can pick up a set of springs for $200ish and spend the rest of wheels/tires. Thats all you really need looks wise...
