140 speedo swap

well i ordered the ebay intake, which we already know what has to be done to make it work, and i ordered the cluster from a ss/na, the one with the 140 speedo...i know the sport pakage came with them, but most of us have the 120, and i know someone said they swapped it and it worked, but ima provide proof that it does, including pics of the install...

ok cool. good luck! i hope it works but you do realize at 6500rpms the F23 will only hit 137mph. Still nice to know your going faster then 120.

I wonder how long the track would need to be to get to this speed. Youŕe a braver person than I. I went 90 the other day in my LS and I can say that won happen again lol.

ive done about 100 for a bit, the only think i dont like is the engines at like 3500 rpm, that cant be good for longevity

yeah i was gunna but i didnt like it, went to test drive it, i just ddint feel any low end power, the interior isnt really my style, and other things 2

oh and i've done 100+mph countless times, anyway, im just doin this for appearance reasons, i dont like the black face, and blackcatz charges 2 much for diffrent faces...so ima try the swap

it's not that it won't work it's that it will be way off. it should work no problem. your speed will be much different than what the guage says though.

i dont see how it would be off. the wheel speed sensors send a signal to the cluster which is converted and used to power the cluster

The problem is the cluster is most likely programmed to receive the same voltage levels as our cluster but the voltage reading gives out a different speed. For example, if the VSS signal is a 0-5v signal, 2volts on the 2.2's cluster could mean 70mph and on the 2.4's cluster it could mean 55mph. Interesting to see the results tho.

if that were the case it would never be off when you changed wheel sizes, which it will be.
