18" wheels on an LS?

Does anyone know what the exact repurcussions are from putting 18s on my LS(16" stock)? i figured it would take more torque in turning and all that, i was just wondering if it would necessarily make my car run slower at the track.

if your worried about weight. just spend the extra bucks on some lightweight rims. such as gramlights, motegi, volk and a few others

you will feel a loss of torque for sure. going from 17's to 18's i felt it.

I don't think it's the wheels that put stress on your tranny.... I think this line explains it,

thats ******* hilarious! haha what do u expect from a stock tranny on a sticky track with big wheels???somethin's gotta give, and it aint your tires. I have 18 inch motegi LC5 Black, Teflon coated...really nice. +45 offset. works really nice. no problems, and if your NA, these are what you need to hook up! put some soft tread tires, and your foot on the pedal, and believe me, traction problems are NO MORE! they are jus right for a launch off the line, but still light enough to spank your opponent's ass!
