Ok here is my ? I have a 2.2L Lt Cobalt and i was wonder if the 2.0L supercharger will bolt up to it and what mods and parts would be needed? To get this out of the way I didn't get a SS/SC or a SS because i've been building my own rides for years and i couldn't see putting out the extra money for a body kit, rim, and an S/C. 205hp and leather seats weren't worth $24,000 to me.

 

"Fit" isn't your problem. Computer tuning and fuel management are.

Until the 2.2's computer is 'cracked' and a tuning solution is offered, it won't work.

 

what about running a piggyback device to control tuning and fuel management. I understand that the injectors will have to be upgraded along with the regulator and pump.

 

we have a returnless fuel system i dont think you can use a piggy back system only way is to go with a complete engine mangament system i think i thik it will just be better to wait till someone crack the ecu

 

you can try, but you do know that gm has a 2.2L ecotec supercharger for the 02-05 cavys and fires. You can get that and try the cavy fires PCM program code and see if it works, but they are going to be coming out with a PCM code for the cobalt just dont know when. When my dealer here calls me and tells me when its out ill let you know. Oh and yes the stage 2 kit will go onto the charger. Or at least the dealer says it does.
