I've seen a few for the SS/TC's. I think they were just something people have made themselves. I'm not 100% sure but the coil covers for the ss/tc's night fit the l61's... I'll let you know when I get mine in the mail. I might be able to make one as well, I just gotta find time.

The l61 has threads cast in the cover. Would be nice to know the pitch. Been wanting to get a coil cover to experiment with but want an answer to the first thought.

I just bought one of these for the ss/tc sedan I bought. It might fit the 2.2... once it arrives I'll try to test fit in my LS before I put in the SS... If it fits I might be able to use it as a sample to make a few more.

This is not my picture, but this is the one I bought.

Actually you can modify an LSJ vc to fit an L61, but its a big pain in the ass. I know a guy who did it on his 05 and it had to be sent to a machine shop to be welded in a couple spots if I remember correctly. Its more work than its worth though.

there is no way to use the 05/06 valve cover. In 07 they went to a different individual coil, in stead of a coil pack. There is no way to make the 05/06 valve cover work on any of the 07+ models... maybe on an 05/06 L61 it might be possible with modification, but not worth it.

If you would have read, I said a guy used an LSJ on his 05 L61. And its very possible. Not only did he have to have a machine shop modify the valve cover, but he also went with an MSD ignition. So its not that its a "might be possible", its very possible.

Well, when I read the original post, I didnt see that you have an 07. In that case then no it wouldnt work on yours. He is right about that, to my knowledge. I mean it might if you went to a different ignition system, and skipped the coil on plug style ignition it might, but like I said originally, at that point, its so not worth it cause the stock ignition system is perfectly fine.

you can actually run an LSJ valve cover on your L61, just takes a little fab work

local guy here did it to his Sunfire a while back

Edit: obviously my post only applies to 05-06 lol

The coil bolt pattern is different between the two.
