all depends if ur going stage 1 no but if ur going any higher then that u need to get new valves springs retainers and the such to handle the higher lift without valve float

Not much. Maybe like 10hp I think. It's a lot of work and money to spend and not gain all that much. Better spending more and going with stage 2.

also depends on your year. 05-06 is easier than 07+.

I read somewhere awhile back that 07+ would cost a lot more because the "key" end for the cam position sensor had to be cut off and welded onto the new cams. True?

Pressed off but yes it needs to be removed and put on. I had heard that bates was doing it for people.

At a minimum I would get valve springs and a tune. If you're planning on taking the motor beyond 7500 rpm then you would need to add neutral balance shafts to that list as well.

I've been contemplating cams myself but not sure which ones I want to go with for my build

How's the power increase?

Has Vince tried to resolve your idle issue?

yes he did at 80%. still minor issue but overall, it improved big time
it is still fragile when it is not warm up.

every car are differents. i have reflashed 2 SC cammed stg3 NA and both run fine.

power increase is very noticable compare to a body that run a similar setup.

@ copson: yes a LSJ TB can improve your idling. it did with mine.

with 2,4 TB its was horrible. lsj TB improve a lot without touch up

but one day. i thing i have seen that my fuel trim was lean at idle.

do u have a wideband? you can see if you are lean.

do you have a fidanza flywheel? rpm fall faster and maybe harder to get right

a good .DTL is idling - WOT - cruise
