2.2 Custom Turbo build

We are doing a custom kit with a T3/T4 turbo 60 trim cold side with a .63 hot side stg.3 wheel,Log style turbo manifold,2.5" downpipe to 3" exhaust system,2.5" intercooler piping.Fueling are going to be 440cc injectors. For tuning we going with AEM Fuel / Ignition Controller but would like some opinions for other tuning. After we get car tuned we are going to be making a SRI with a custom fuel system and run a GT3071R turbo with a built motor. The first setup is going to be done for 10psi and the following setup will be done at w/e the AEM can do.

Here are some pics of the setup

i was plannin for that too but decided it was better and easier to go with the garrett kit when i get the money. i had the full kit just missing tuning (which i have now) wasted tons of money and 2 years tryin to do it custom lol

check out this thread for tuning. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/tuning-131/aem-f-ic-2-2-a-91567/ ur going with the right tuner

looks nice, are you welding everything up yourself?

that turbo should make some good power on this motor.

is it good for the turbo to be near the ground like that, or do you not drive it if you have drive in the winter?

umm, you dont wanna get a new manifold? If your going to make it yourself you might wanna consider weld el's...that manifold doesn't look very flow friendly

there is a school of thought that if you have the manifold be rather restrictive, and a VERY open exhaust, the turbo will spool up faster.

well, i tend to feel that more flow = more better over all, but the idea is that the difference in pressure on opposite sides of the turbine allow it to spin harder, i'm not enough of a turbo nut to make a judgement

you can make more power than the stock bottom end can take on a log manifold...nothin wrong with that.

the biggest problem with going with any other type of mani is space...gotta work with what room you got
