If your head from the stock motor is still good you should be able to use the 04 block. Neither will be direct bolt on though

The cavy motor will not work at all the tach signal is wrong, also you would need to sway your thermostat housing and oil pan. The 07 should work unless there is a difference in the head I dont know about.

you can not use the 07 l61. 07+ use a 58x reluctor wheel

The 05+ use what reluctor wheel then? They sure as hell dont use the 6+1 of the cavy. I've been under the impression that every 05 and newer ecotec uses the 58x wheel.

only thing different on 2007 electrical wise is the cam sensor in the head.If his head is still good,he could use the 2007 block and bottom end.

Or he could use the 07+ head, leave the cam sensor in but dont plug it in 9there's no plug for it anyways) and use the ignition setup from his car. He would hav eto use the ignition for his car anyways because that changed in 07.

correct and he would make a little more power from the 2007 head being a gen 2(slightly larger ports)
I believe the cams are slightly different but not positive on that one.

So the 07 l61motor will work I just have to not connect the cam sensor n use my old ignition system, or could my old head bolt on the 07 motor.and also im planning on using the ss supercharger would it be diffrent since 07 l61 motor has the cam sensor. And would the car run fine with the cam sensor not plugged in

Yes the car will run fine with the cam sensor not plugged in. In your 05 the ignition system is actually the cam sensor. Its complicated to explain how it works, but it does.

I believe the 07 crank wheel is also differnt than previous year L61's, because of the change to the E37 ECU. I think, dont quote me on it.
