Here we go...

Get the dyno graph when you do it.

Also, what is the size now?

Yeah, i would like to see the dyno sheet, would be a nice addition for the NA guys. Also, is there anymore room to port it when tuning becomes available. Actually i guess we could just throw the 2.4TB on there with a retune eventually.

Installing a new TB is very simple. You remove your intake, and its 4 10mm bolts i believe? i cant remember the exact size. You then remove the Throttle wiring(very easy clip to take off) and your done.

The point is your making the throttle body bigger so your allowing your engine to pull in more air. The problem is, if you open it too much, you will throw a code and/or throw it into limp mode because the car is seeing a huge change from what its use to. With tuning you can really take advantage of a larger TB.

Funny....I was going ask about having it flowed. Back in my previous life of hot rods we'd send the Holley's out for a flow job for huge gains. I'd like to see some pics...tnks.

Very true, if you just go at it you will cause a huge vacuum leak and set codes. The secret behind porting a stock 2.2 TB is not to enlarge the actual throtle bore itself. I snagged a spare from work off an engine job and set to work on it myself. Go to your car remove the intake and prop the throttle blade open. Feel the inner contour of the TB on the portion closest to the front of the car. There is a hump machined into the TB that shields the throttle blade opening from getting straight airflow at low angles. I removed that hump from the spare TB that I had off the car, very important. Without touching the actual sealing surface that the blade touches I removed material untill it was all smooth. I cant prove a differance but I can say the car does feel like it has more low end power, call me crazy

My TB along with a lot of other parts of my engine are sitting in a box right now, im gonna go look at that hump you speak of. I would have that removed too but i dont believe its going to effect my low end when using FI.

It was my understanding that the 2.4 TB wouldn't work because the computer couldn't understand the diffrence in airflow. But it would appear if this works, its in the electronics, not the airflow.

Please Dyno this, I'm definatly intrested to match this to my 2.4 manifold swap.

Looks good...you can pick up quite by eliminating most of the bar thats holding the plate. This requires some minor welding/brazing. Probably good for your modded engine or a SC but not a N/A stocker.
