here is the way i see it, if you put a bunch of boltons, you are gonna make up the low end torque loss you may have so worse comes to worse at 2000 rpms your car has stock torque but more horsies. then it jumps. and the real advantages are gonna be when you are mashing on the pedal (racing, dragging, or getting the boost to merge onto the highway) is the torque loss gonna affect you on the daily drive when you are doing 15mph? I think not...

some people are focused on the numbers but when you think about it... how quickly do you get to the 3000 range where you will see the advantage of it? rather quickly.

Yup Agreed ^^^

Concidering I launch at 2500rpm's, and it takes, what a second to get to 4k, and then after every shift I never get below 4k, so I am almost always in my powerband

+1 Orng, you make a good point...comparing the stock dyno sheets to a full bolt-on job, the car is still making a couple extra hp in the low an rpm, a few more in the mid, and lots up top.

Thanks guys... nice to see you are seeing it my way. Couple of guys dropped them like a bad habit but if you stop to think about it, it is still an improvement.

After I get my exhaust next year, this is next on the list.

I dropped it because of the dyno. I'll go another route to get a better top end.

XM- do you still have yours? I might take it off your hands for a cheap price

I still have the manifold. I have to look for the adapter plate. Also, the 2.4 brake booster hose is still on my car because the easiest way to go back to the old setup was to shorten the 2.4 hose. That being said, a fair price for what I have would probably be too low for me to stomach right now. I might just wait a while and see if a turbo is in this car's future.

XM15, i remember reading some post on here where people were claiming that on the 07s it actually did give and increase in numbers. and some who had an 05 said that there was no gain on the dyno. i dont know if it is true or not because i have yet to put my car on a dyno.

the original post was refering to his car which is an 07.

the difference was the 05/06 to the 07's. 07's have a better stock tune and when the manifold was added the decrease in low rpm's was not as significant as the 05/06's

that sucks for the guys who have an 05 and 06. but they have a canned tune and turbo. not a real even trade

lol. i got my 06 and i still stick to my argument that the benefit still outweighs the negatives. once I have completed my boltons... this is going on.

Honestly i wouldnt waste the money on it. Spend that 250 bux on a better exhaust. At least you get a better sound out of it and some power. I wouldnt get the 2.4 manifold unless you are gonna go boosted or raise your rev limiter, which we cant do yet.
