Compare the throttle body opening and runner sizes to those of the mani that you took off the car

it could be the newer style 2.4 mani. its a two piece design like the new 2.4 mani. the older 2.4 mani were one piece

if this is what u used to base your judgement on that it was a 2.4L intake then that is your fault. unless he clearly stated 2.4 then you could be SOL.

the 2.2L mani would still fit a 2.4. but it would be stupid for someone to put a 2.2 IM on a 2.4..

okay. well unless his thread said For sale 2.4L intake manifold your SOL. because 1. he could have misread what u typed and saw just intake manifold. and 2. the 2.2 manifold will fit a 2.4.... so with the guy asking him, will it fit a 2006 ss/na YES IT WILL the 2.2L im WILL FIT the SS/NA he wouldnt have been lieing to the guy. just because it fits a ss/na doesnt mean its a ss/na IM

but still.

i would check for a part number, it has to be on there somewhere. then google it. and see what it tells you.

The throttle body bolt pattern is different on the 2.4 than the '06 2.2 manifold. The picture you posted isn't real big so I can't even tell which one is yours lol

if you click on the pic on the left..mine has the red seals and the new one has the green but mine had a black solid part with a tiny hole in the middle..his doesn't but in the back of it has a tiny hole..could this still work?

i can tell by where the brake booster hose is, thats the 08+ 2.4 manifold. i had one on mine. and you dont need a pcv seal on it, its built into the newer ones. hope that helps

maybe its cause your getting more air in your engine, causing your fuel trims to go out, making the computer throw gas at it making the rpms go up?
