2-Step for Auto trans?

Is it possible to hook one up on an Auto? I know it would have to be set relatively low because of our low stall, just wondering if it's possible?

that ain't a 2step lol thats a neutral safety limiter. there isn't really a way to run a true 2step on an auto because it works of the clutch switch. it only cuts ignition when the down clutch switch is engaged and the throttle is at 100%. you can get a built 4t45 trans from zzp with a trans brake in it but the 4t45 internals are too weak and the car will slip forward. so to fix that you could run a line lock to the rear wheels and run it off the same button as the trans brake.

Would it be possible to wire it so that instead of engaging when the clutch is depressed, make it engage when a button such cruise control or a switch or something is pressed/flipped?

EDIT: What if instead of the clutch pedal, the 2-step engaged off the brake pedal ?

Brake torque off the line and you don't need a 2-step, manual trans only anyway. 2500 rpm is the stock stall limit. Get a higher stall torque converter for harder launches.

yeah unless you're turbo you reallly don't need to worry about using any type of launch control. all its used for is to build boost while sitting still. just get a higher converter and launch off the brake.

Best advice is to stop dicking around with this car. Seriously just put the keys down. Cobalt does not translate into racecar.

Says the guy on a cobalt forum. Nice underglow btw. gtfo.

To all the helpful replies, thanks for the help. I'll just look into getting a higher stall.

Just got an email back from N2MB:

available on our site. select ign other as your rpm signal and write
it to the box. after it writes it will read it automatically. in the
vehicle snapshot portion it should show clutch input as either 5v up

when it is up and dn when it is down
