wtf is that internally wastegated or external or is there even a wastegate on there it looks like you ran the tube from the turbo straight to the bov. no offence not only that but you are def running more then 2 lbs of boost with your turbo spooling that easy

well watch it with the placement of the bov and everything cause of heat water and all sorts of other things. otherwise its a pretty clever place to put it. do you have a manual boost controller?

how drivable is the car without a tune?

hey dude you got the garrett essentials kit and then did your own charge piping intercooler and BOV right? can you give me some info on the charge turbing ID and what brands/ parts you used? im thinking of doing my charge tubing myself and i need some info. paying and extra grand for some pipes and an intercooler seems like more than it should be.

well im only running like 1~1.5lb of boost...so it pretty much drives like stock...although yesterday i did hit limp mode for a few seconds then i turned it off and it came back to life.....im not going wot on it yet...until i get her tuned.....i drive her at like mid to 3/4 throttle...well my turbo originally came off some one elses cobalt....that was tuned by alpine developments....the kit had no bov or ic and no oil fittings to the engine...but i had all the oil lines so i did some shopping at some aftermarket stores like super autobacs in stanton ca...and then some perfomance shops in oceanside ca....i got the right fittings....so i thought....it turned out they were the wrong thread.....its all good....i had a tap and dye set and that fixed the problem....but yes i got my piping from ebay including the intercooler and bov for like 200....but i need more piping to place the intercooler in the correct location...but im not too worried about it right now...i need to get her tuned then ill worry abou the rest cuz i love how she pulls at only one pound....i cant even imagine 8lbs

did you have to do alot of bending the piping kit or was it mostly just like putting together a puzzle? lol

and one more question: (mostly aimed at halfcent, if hes reading this) would I regret it later if I bought ebay intercooler/bov/tubing instead of garrett?

i piping i had was universal and i already had an idea of how it was going to go on...i had seen pictures of turbo balts and had a picture in my head of how i wanted it to look....and well since the ic wouldnt fit with the piping i had i adapted and overcame

I believe its because he's still working on the other cobalt thats F/I and probably wants to wait to see how that turns out before he goes any further with anyone else.

I would just give him some time.
