Hey man, no one was attacking you

Keep up the build but yes, go with 60s.

It will yield a better result if you are going with that size turbo...better safe than sorry

My build is:

Eagle H-Beam Forged
Custom GM Port & Polish/ shaved 5,000 of an inch
Clevite rod bearings
ARP Rod studs

All my pics of the build and products are on myspace... ill post the link...
here: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...f-2ddef0fcb707

The site should be open to the public... if you would like to send me a friend request go ahead and do so. If you have any question, ask...

I just put 350 miles on the car, after the build, and everything seems to being going copacetic.... My AFR, with the p&p head, tends to be at 14.5/14.8 cruising... I'm waiting 1,000 miles and two oil changes before ill be able to get WOT AFR's...

Here is my story... I've had this car for almost two years... I was the first person in North Louisiana to have one. Period/ I am the first in Louisiana, and who knows, to spray a 75 shot of nitrous on a G5... I did this 4 months after buying the car... i got it to run a 14.5 at 98 with a 2.3 60ft'... however, i no longer have a time slip to prove it, so that information isnt provable besides by what i and my friends have seen...

Now I want to boost... I haven't heard of anyone else that has a turboed G5 that is built, hell i haven't heard of one that isn't built... Besides the G5 GT that is on youtube... and that thing looks slow! Here is my build list that i will start on this month...
Garrett GT3071R
Volcan Turbo/Intake mani
42lb injectors with harness
Custom IC piping *im a welder so ill tig and fab up all my own stuff*
Tail/HKS sequential BOV
Exedy Stage 2 clutch
And a trifecta tune... Or i may use a complete standalone... Haven't decided...

If im not the first, or if someone has already done it please let me know and show me proof... I don't want to think, and tell all my buddy's down here that im the first if its been done...

Thanks,
AdaM G5

Look at my sig. Been fully built+ turbo for months now as a G5 GT. Odds are the turbo G5GT you saw on youtube is mine before it was tuned and before i put a clutch/flywheel in it.

Sorry for the short video, accidently hit the power button on my camera before i wanted to.

is tuned and at 15psi this is before the rebuild though.. Currently running 23psi.

Good luck with your build though sorry to rain on your parade.

It is going to be hard with the crank.

Also, what cams are you going to run?

Nevermind

I meant stroke.

I am pretty sure LSJ rods and work fine, you could get LSJ aftermarket rods to make your engine more 'square' (stroke and bore the same size)

You need to get more aggressive cams...period...I know that LSJ cams cannot flow(without a RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF EXTRA BOOST) to 450whp.

I understand that... but i don't think ill be opening my car up again or buying anything for the bottom end anytime soon...haha... I'll get the most i can out of it... my GOAL is 450whp... Hell, ill settle for 300-375... i think that would be an awesome amount of power for a daily...

You said you were on the fence about 42 or 60 lb injectors...if it helps you decide - you will not be able to run much over 300 whp on 42s. SS/sc guys couldn't even touch 300, but that's also considering the parasidic loss of the blower. You might crack it, but only right before you crack something else.

Get the 60s.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help guys... im guessing 60lbs will be the answer... unless i just decide to boost it just to see how it acts...

I want to know if BoostedG5 is using trifecta on his 20 something lbs of boost...

As far as turbo goes dude I think a GT30 is a bit excessive. A ball bearing t28 would be great for street.
