When I had a 2.2 I first bought an Injen intake because I liked that you could switch between short ram and cold air. But I bought it used and it never worked right. I think there was a leak around the MAF. So I ended up buying the K&N and it was awesome. Loved that thing. Now I have a K&N on my LNF.
And yes it would be the Typhoon, they only make that one or an OEM replacement drop in filter for our cars.

The stuff either I used or would use if I could do it again:
Header: (out of stock at the moment.) ZZPerformance - Ecotec Shorty Header #ZZ-ECTSHDR
Downpipe: (catted because emissions is a thing in TX if I ever move there) ZZPerformance - 2.5 inch Stainless Cobalt/Ion Downpipe #ZZ-E25DP
Intake Manifold: 2006-2007 2.4L probably from a G6 or 2.4 Cobalt.
Throttle Body: 2008 or newer 2.4L 6-pin http://www.ebay.com/itm/08-09-10-11-CHEVROLET-SATURN-PONTIAC-BUICK-GMC-TERRAIN-Throttle-Body-2-4-2-4L-/230949818468?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AEquinox&hash=item35c5ae9064&vxp=mtrIntake: K&N does good.
Resonator: http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/...Resonator.aspx My magnaflow has gotten tons louder and raspier after almost 3 years.
Muffler: Meh whatever. I would probably buy the twin loop muffler I have now again strictly for the looks I get from people. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TWIN-LOOP-ROUND-TIP-4-OUTLET-STAINLESS-STEEL-TYPE-M-MUFFLER-EXHAUST-WELD-ON-/380967699895?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item58b371c5b7&vxp=mtr Here's a shitty vid from before I was tuned:

Oh and just fyi, if you think you want to go for big power gains, the 2.2L with full bolt ons and tune is still slow.
It takes a supercharger or turbo to get over 200whp.
So to go fully bolted you would be spending about the same as a full supercharger setup.
If I did it again I would have saved for the super.

If you want nothing but power, by all means supercharge it and don't go over 250-300hp. But if you want a peppy gas saver by all means mod your 2.2! I optimized my DFCO a bit with HP Tuners and holy crap the difference it makes in mpg. I can romp around and still get 35-40mpg. Gonna try modding the TCC lockup at closed throttle next.
