Anything I might not know

I have an 07' ls 5spd. I'm always trying to learn as much as I can about my car so i was hoping everyone could post something that i might not know about it. Anything you learned after a while of owning that you wish you knew at the beginning

Tap the gas 3 times after changing the oil with your key in the ON position and it resets your oil life :P

you have the same exhaust manifold as the SS and SS/SC
first year they started using the 3 spoke steering wheel
switched to individual coil packs

Well, considering how I blew out my back last week, I would say make sure that you buy a big breaker bar.

^^^ I thought yours was a 05/06... aka the good 2.2 years.

07's have no aftermarket cams.

Yeah. They. Do. However, they are not for the average consumer or shade tree mechanic. You will need to have them professionally done. The sensor plate needs to be removed from the stock cams and reinstalled on the new cams via arbor press or something to that effect. Then after that it needs to be put on a decent size lathe and turned down just a bit so there is not alot of "stick out" from the head. Then the cams need to be installed into the head at the machine shop to ensure quality and proper fitment and that all alignment issues are cleared on the spot. Now the guy that is talking about it in the thread doesn't go into detail about what the shop does, but does say the head had to be sent off to have the cams installed.

and i think my 07 2.2 is better than the 03-06 Models/Versions.

That is way too much work for a set of cams, just for that reason I am happy I have an 06... I still woulda perfered the 2.4 though.

So when is that party at your new place gonna be?

The manifold is actually not the same. If you lookup the part number for the exhaust manifold for both the SS/SC and 2.2mani they will be different.
