Best Bang for your buck

So i was originally gonna get an LED underglow kit but no i am having second thoughts about that.
Anyways i was thinking about a header and downpipe combo.
What would give me the most hp gains without being ridiculously expensive?
Thanks guys.

Shiney-Hiney header (Cobalt Addiction's old v1.........they sold the design to Shiney-Hiney) + XTC 2.5" de-cat = $380, and its an awesome setup.

the LED kit would be 325 so i am lookin for somethin in that range.
Is it really worth it to get an lsj dp with an aftermarket header or should i get a header and dp combo?

For about $350 you can look at ZZP's midlength header and DP combo. That's what I was looking at, but I don't think it's worth it for me to spend that much, I've decided to just go the LSJ route.

It really depends on your future goals with the car, for me, I want better flow for a little more power, but mainly better mileage. I'm leaving the performance to my future car (Sky Redline)...just have to convince the wife to let me get it before I'm 30 (4 1/2 years).

You'd definitely want to upgrade the rest of the piping. If your looking for a good/cheep route I'd say get the racing solution 2.2 header and a LSJ DP. Then the cat-back of your choice. (I prefer GMPP Or Corsa)

i got a weld on muffler and its not that old so i dont really want to get new piping unless i have to. Will it really be that restrictive?

The LED underglow kit will give you way more HP than any header/dp combo out there...

yeah man you'll want at least 2.25 inch piping.. If not your just wasting your time with the header and DP.

The stock l61 piping is somthin like 1.75" you would want to replace that with bigger piping if you get a header and dp. Like obz said about 2.25". Trust me you want to get bigger piping.

Ditch the muffler and buy a cat-back. You will be happy with it for sure! I got a brand new tsudo cat-back for 238 shipped and its fully stainless has 2.25" piping and has a nice deep tone. I recomend the tsudo to anyone on a budget.
