Best first things to do

alright i got a 2.2 06 cobalt im wondering whats the best engine mod for me to start with so anyone let me know

Just read all the countless other threads just like this one to get ideas.

The first thing i did was get a catback, then id recomend get a intake, at least then you will increase your gas mileage some.

if you dont plan on FI, get a intake and allow that engine to breath. Then work from the header back.

okay but still where am i gunna get my top speed higher do i have to bye a new chip or is there anyway to plug into my car or something

You cannot. Those "Chips" do not work and are scams. If you want a higher top speed, get a friend with tech 2 and have him reflash your car with the higher rated tire. OR get a standalone engine management system.

Tech 2 is the GM program that allows them to connect to the cars computer. Its roughly a $5,000 system so if you have it you are one lucky SOB. But it connects to your OBDII port.

You can try, but i doubt it as its a safety thing. If you top out at 105 it means your tires will blow up

anything faster. If you have better tires they "might"

why the hell wouldnt i want a higher top speed i know my car has the power and i hate bein in a race and i top out and the car starts to shake i only wat about 20- 25 more
