breather filter

I was wondering, can I take the vacum hose off the valve cover..plug the intake good and put a breather filter on the valve cover part? Or doesn't really matter or make a difference? Thanks

I did it. i talked to chevycobaltss3 about it for quite a bit before deciding to do it. he said it's mainly just for high boost applications. you don't lose anything from it but you don't gain anything either.

You only gain less oil in the intake.

for you guys that have done it, does your car smell after you turn it off? like fuel?

No. Kinda like oil any time I stop moving but never fuel.

You might want to check the emissions laws in your area, I know up here you can get a $350 ticket for the breather not being routed back into the engine.
Unless you're boosted, IMO its not worth it.
