Calling on you 2.2 guys for help

Alright my car is pissing me off. heres the deal, everytime i get gas (and ONLY when i get gas) after i get done pumping and get in my car to start it,it wont ******* start, the starter is well uhh starting, it finally starts to fire, then my rpm is going crazy 1 to 3 up and down and it will keep doing that till i give it some gas, then it acts fine. bsically it sounds like my car has a big cam the i give it a little gas and it goes back to normal and wont do it again until i fill up. which leaves me to believe it has something to do with pressureization* then later here recently my car is telling me to service airbags? and service traction control, and it turned tracton control off. i mean wtf. my car only has 27000 miles on it and i bought it brand new, its making me wonder how its gonna be at 75000 miles if its already acting up now. ill end up taking it to beaty chevrolet soon i guess eventhough money is tight, i gotta have a car. just wanting your opinions.

thanks in advance...

hell no its like a so many year or mile warranty and i already passed the years. and last time i went in for calipers sticking and those ******* kept trying to screw me over. you know how they are at the dealership. if your under warranty they try to make up other excuses for the problems. they tried to tell me that my braking problem( calipers sticking) was because my aftermarket rims.lol

I wonder if someone put something in ur tank and when you put gas in the tank the pressure from the gas going into there if its pushing something down to the bottom of the tank where the main fuel line is located at (someone chime in if Im wrong here)

If you got haters out there I would maybe look into seeing if you can drain your tank and see if theres somewhere on it that you can look down into the tank and see if theres something in there

Check your evap solinoid, might be stuck open, its a 20ish dollar part and a quick fix, or it your mostly stock (no 2.4IM or CAI) the dealership should fix it under the 100k 5yr powertrain etc, and if they don't call GM customer care and start asking questions/complaining there are plenty of people who have got stuff done dealers didn't want to do, but legally have to.

See thats what I mean if its only doing this when you get gas it has to be something with the fuel pressure

Put the engine back to stock and drive it. The intake may be part of your problem. If not leave it stock and take it in. '07 and up GM vehicals have a limited 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

I don't think its the intake, a lot of ppl have the injen with no issues, and it only acts up after getting gas (releving pressure on the fuel system) if it acted like that on every start up then it could be.
But for the being hasseled just throw your stocker back on, and if they give you **** call GM customer care its amazing what will get done when you talk to the right ppl

Sounds like an EVAP issue.

I agree but the usual evap problems will set CEL's. Havent encountered wierd starting/throttle issues before.

This. Had same exact symptoms, only after filling up tank. Was evap purge solenoid to the right of the motor. Easy fix. Though, as mentioned, I did get a cel.

I has a similar problem. Check your intake for leaks, that was my problem. Also you should still be covered under the powertrain warranty which is 5 year or 100,000 miles. Hope this helps.

Old car savy or new car plug in your scanner savy?

And just because you don't have a CEL doesn't mean its not broken, if the sensor that is supposed to throw the CEL is not functioning then no CEL.

Has your info center thing ever said check gas cap?

That would be an indication of a P0455 large evap leak. This seems more like a stuck open purge valve, (P0496 I think) Allowing fuel vapor to be pushed through the lines and into the intake during refueling.

it seems like he might not drive the car enough for it to go through the check cycle. it needs to see that somthing is not working more then once consecutively for it to trip the CEL.

See what the dealer says first, then go from there.
