cams?

ill start of by sayin if youre gonna ask me why i didnt search its because im lazy and didnt feel like it lol. but my question is this, i have a 2.2 cobalt with a 2.4 intake manifold, throttle body, upgraded valvetrain, forged internals, gt3076r turbo, 3" downpipe, ss/tc cat back, meth and tuned. im going to be lookin towards cams in a bit and ive been told before that i prolly dont need cams for my car which i dont see why i wouldnt. but if i was to get cams what size would yal recommend for a turbo application? thanks

Put in some HKS 272's.

I'll sell you some 2.2L Cam Blanks to take to a Machine Shop to get them ground onto.

You never want to run a set of used cams on another set of used lifter buckets BTW.. Old rule of tumb on engine building.

It is bad enough to run a new cam on used lifter buckets. Best is for all new, but used buckets on a new cam is what most do.

No video of Cobalts with them... not that many Cobalts have done cam swaps. Just listen to videos of DSM's and/or Evo's running HKS272's.

$150 + shipping for the blanks.

not a bad price. how much do you think it will cost to cut them? and would i end up needing to leave my car at the machine shop for them to get it right?

crank forged + a 2L head = 20psi+

2L head flow better in boost situation. you have already valvetrain at the max.

i dont think the 2.0 head will fit. my best bet with my is head PnP and valve job to flow better. who sells forged cranks?

Depends on the grind, tune, etc.

You could easily gain a good bit. 272's will shift your powerband up... you'll probably gain a very good amount of power.
