Cobalt ls 2.2 muffler delete question HELP

ok dont know if this is in right section but i have the following mods:

LSJ exhaust mani, ZZP 2.5 highflow downpipe, and that into 2.25 piping with a muffler fart can thing, and was wondering if it would sound good with a muffler delete
should i just go to a muffler shop and ask them to cut it off and drive ir around for a little bit or what?
Thanks guys, also anyvideos or anything will be appreciated

Thanks, Matt

I ran open header and open downpipe for a while(while waiting on OTTP to send me my new downpipe which I ordered before my old one snapped at the flex pipe...) and open DP sounded ******* great but it was stupid loud.

I think the stupid loud sums it up. I mounted two Flowmaster 2.5" diam Hushpowers in line on mine. One was "stupid loud", two in line is just loud enough. I wouldnt recommed that route however unless you can get them used ($130 somethin each new) Picked mine up from a buddy with an '04 GTO. He didnt like the sound.

No. Just no.

Get an LSJ/LE5 cat-back. You can find those things for pocket change... and its more than enough for an LS.

And personally... More Resonators >>> More Mufflers.

Totally agree, forgot to say mine has full LSJ take-off exhaust. I put the hushpowers on because I was tired of looking at the rusty stock garbage can of a muffler. I did like how quiet it was though.

I'll see if I can get a vid up of mine tomorrow just because.

The addition of resonator/s will help with the tin can raspyness.

Exactly, just do this.

Or if you want something a little different and no rasp, go corsa touring cat back but thats $700-$800 vs $100-200ish for the LSJ/LE5

Ok, real exhaust basics.

Cats they make the car quieter and less raspy... But you cant shoot flames.

Resonators, make the car less raspy/shitty/honda sounding. The longer the less rasp and deeper the tone will be. I find a lot of them end up making the car sound like a boat though.

Mufflers. give you the look you want and change the sound around the most. Borgwarner makes the best, followed by Holset, IHI, Garrett, and stainless works.
