yes the ss/sc exhaust bolts up just fine, i put it on my car and it works great, th the downpipe will fit too. Also for the 05/06 cars the header will fit and open it up a little more, for 07 you don't need the header, becasue you already have the same one as the ss/sc stock...

Is there any possible way that an 07 2.2 could use the same cams as an LSJ given they both have a cam position sensor?????

Actually, yes, that could work. But there is a better way to go. Just get the GMPP adjustable cam gear set. Then you could either duplicate the LSJ cam timing, or do any number of other timing options. That's what I did.

Hey guys im not very knowledgeable about the 2.2 motor since i have a 2.0 but i have a quick question for yall. My girlfriend has an lt and this weekend i am thinkin about puttin my springs and my stock header on her car after i take the dremel to it to get rid of some of the roughness. Is this a safe swap and will there be any audible or performance gained or am i wasting my time?

Yes it's a direct fit, just don't break the manifold studs that connect to the Downpipe

Put Base Headlights and SSs/c Headlights side by side. The SS's are darker

down pipe does not fit on 08 lt. it will if you add another o2 sensor port before the cat. it came from a 06

why would you do that? go out and a set of je or something like that. but if you still want to do ss internals just look up bore and stroke of both engines and also crank size.

Ah Ha!!! But your wrong......lol the stock tires are T rated on the LS that means they are good to sustain a speed of 118mph for at least 10 minutes without tread separation......And as for an LT model with 16" wheels and tires they are H rated which means they can sustain a speed of 130mph for at least 10 minutes straight without tread separation.....The only thing is handling is gonna suck at 118 or so! LOL I know this because I work for goodyear and these are well known speed and handling ratings....FYI
I personally recomend zr rated tires if you plan to shred some pavement..... I know my LT2 handles like its on rails with my Eagle F1 All-Seasons and they're good in the snow.......

My 15" Pos Factory Tires were only s rated so they shred at 112. My bad 3 mph. You also have to remember they changed tires in 07. 05-06 were some continental junk. with the sport package having pirrellis

You cant swap pistons and rods between different size engines. The reason is because all 3 displacements(2.0, 2.2, and 2.4) each use a different length rod, and piston with a different pin height, also the 2.4 has a large bore than the 2.0/2.2 so the pistons wont even fit in the cylinder.

IE: you cant put LSJ pistons and rods in an L61 You cant put LE5 pistons and rods in an LNF, you cant put L61 rods/piston in an LSJ

In order to mix/match pistons and rods amongst the engine you need to use one stock part and one custom part. for eample if you wanna put LSJ rods in an L61( a reasonable upgrade) youll need to get custom pistons made.

However! In this specific case only, JE Pistons makes those very pistons as a part for GMPP. They are even sold in their catalog.

Yeah I know, theyve been around for a while, but they are still pretty much a custom part, they are pistons specifically designed with a custom pin height to allow you to upgrade to LSJ rods in an L61. And just like all other ECO reciprocating parts, they wont driectly imnterchange with any other part

i believe the difference is in the cam position sensor. my 07 has an optical cam position sensor. almost sure the LSJ has a hall effect or magnetic cmp.

You could swap exhaust cams, but thats it. The intake cam on the 07s has the reluctor wheel for the cam sensor(its not optical, GM hasnt used an optical cam sensor since the LT1's with optispark)
