Let's have a contest..whaever mod the 2.2 does, the 2.0 will do. Then we'll have a contest. Besides, you will spend the same, if not more than buying an SS once you upgrade the tranny, tires, wheels, brakes, and exhaust. Oh yea, BTW, if you make displcement an issue, I'll just bore out my motor, now what do you have to say?

That's fine too. Put anything you want on your 2.4 or 2.2 WITHOUT tocuhing the inside of your motor. In other words, all the bolt-ons and boost you want, as long as the inside of your engine isn't touched. then a 2.0 will do the same, then see what the outcome is.

well for me i like both cars in different ways but chevy didnt care about power when they built the ss, if they did they would have made it to compete with the srt 4 but they didnt , they wanted reliability so they went with a supercharger which is fine for a daily driver but it wil never compare to a turbo and twin charging is never good so an ss may be able to be fasterr but it will have to scrap the supercharger to do it

I don't doubt that a turbo charged Cobalt will be able to outperform a supercharged one. I just don't think Jiveturkey actually has one.

I also believe and T/C 2.2 could run with a stock 2.0 but as for some who seem to believe the 2.0 doesn't have much potential the simple fact it was built for F/I pretty much throws that theory out the window. Try upping the boost to 10 or 12 psi even with a S/C on the 2.2 and report back to us what happened...I'm sure 99% of us know what the outcome will be .
You also can't compare the price difference between an LS and an SS/SC directly since there are more differences between the two vehicles than just the S/C under the hood. Do the research and you'll find to bring the LS up to nearly the exact specs of the SS is going to cost you a hell of a lot more in aftermarket parts than the $4000 to $5000 difference.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not buying this story at all. Not to call you out or anything but can we get some pictures. Furthermore, why haven't you told anyone who asked where the kit came from. This project seems like a big deal I don't understand why you wouldn't be anxious to show off your handy work.

Ive decided to end with this, engine is a 2.2L
Go ahead and ramble on though just thought this was interesting...
Well some of you may know me and some may not. Currently I have the fastest street legal Cavalier in North America according to the JBO lists. Running 12.80s on the stock internals, stock clutch, stock axles, stock CVs, stock everything basically with a turbo thrown onto the motor.

people are sooooo worried about voiding the warranty. Man chevys are good cars, the chances of you engine blowing is low unless you got a lemon or unless your putting to much stress on your engine without upgrades.
