Cold Air Intake

I apologize early if this topic has already been mentioned, But I haven't been able to find it. I just bought a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, 5 Speed, 4 cylinder, 2 door. I was wondering if it would make any difference at all, If I put a Cold Air Intake on it.

Thanks for any help or advice,
Jon

supercharged or not?

if not supercharged, you'd maybe get 2-3hp

if supercharged, maybe 5-10 depending on which intake

either way, maybe slightly better gas mileage if you can stay out of the throttle

Sadly it is not supercharged, just a plain 4 cylinder.

I think it is more than 2-3 hp. I know for a fact on the 2.2L ecotec in the cavalier Injen or AEM both showed a 4-6 hp increase. If you have the 2.4L i think you may even see a bit more than that.

I bought a 2006 Coblat LS last month. I just bought an AEM Intake I hooked it all up and I have an extra hose line that looks like its coming out of my exaust manifold, well anyways I have it plugged up right now because the people at modern performance said it was just a breather and that I could plug it up and it would be ok. Does anyone know for sure where this tube goes to and if I should have it plugged up or just leave it open?
