From everything I have read and researched for my 08 lt 2.2 you have to get one for that car because nothing else will work unless you rig it. The main problem is the MAF's that are so picky in these cars and they tend to throw codes like crazy on "custom" intakes.
somebody needs to ban this idiot for starting 100 different threads asking the same retarded question. im sorry, if you posted once i would have tried to explain why it wouldnt work, but this is just retarded.
you make lemonade. oh wait thats lemons...

There is a reason why intakes are year make and model specific. You're talkin about putting an import part on a domestic car.
When a car throws codes (Malfunction indicator lights or check engine light as most people know it), that means something is wrong with your car. It's soul purpose is to make you aware.
If you honestly didn't know what throwing codes is, you shouldn't be modding your vehicle.
Do more research on how a car works. HowStuffWorks "Learn how Everything Works!"
